1979 Ford Mustang project

Permalink | 0 notes So like I said I ordered a new drivers side floor pan from www.americanmuscle.com. We decided it would be easier to just install the new floor pan in the area that was broken instead of replacing the whole thing. So we had to cut the floor pan using a dremel purchased at The Home Depot.

Permalink | Notes Funny story. I was sitting in the kitchen and I heard a hissing noise coming from the garage. My immediate thought, because I live in the desert, was that there was a rattle snake in the garage. So I cautiously went into the garage, but instead of finding a snake I discovered that my drivers side front tire had burst and was rapidly exhaling. Not happy it happened but glad it happened when I wasn’t driving down the road! Ordered some new tires, pics to follow!

Permalink | 0 notes The new floor pan! Ordered from www.americanmuscle.com , which is a site I definitely recommend if you are into muscle cars!
Permalink | 0 notes So I decided to get rid of the original carpet which is beyond repair and put in a new one. But once I took the original one out I discovered the drivers side floor pan was cracked, as you can see in the middle left of the picture. So I ordered a new floor pan and plan to have a friend help me weld the new floor pan in. Pics to follow!
Permalink | 0 notes The seats are obviously not the original. I decided to keep these seats even though they are a little beaten up. They are really comfortable and awesome for cornering because of the bucket design. I have ordered seats covers for them, just waiting for them to arrive!
Permalink | 0 notes Here are a few pics of what the inside looked like when I first got it. The guy I bought it from did say the inside needs work, so I decided to attack doing up the inside first before I started working on the outside.
